R'gaa Sunset

Description

My original character R'gaa, she is from Belbios, a large desert country kinda like Africa on the continent of Nevvek. I haven't drawn her very much and not at all recently so I decided to do this. Started it a bit of a while ago, but never got around to trying to finish it because Painter would lock up everytime I tried to do the BG.

Anyway, this is just sort of practice. I know she's not done very well, and the styles of the background and then her are kind of different but I don't really do backgrounds and I'm not so well with clouds. =P I don't really like this, but tell me what you think.

if you didn't say those were clouds the background could have passed as a smeary canvas. clouds, no. check some photos for reference
left arm appears longer than right and both hands need work, rh too much space between index finger and middle finger, thumb and fingers seem to start at the wrist!?
lh too long, you probably drew the bracelet and then the hand
extremely dark shadows on torso and leg, but not consistent, look like smears
values for the right arm are all over the place and the shoulder, wrist and fingers appear to be lit from the back
the values of the breasts and the contour of the ribcage suggest they are much larger than its suggested by the displacement of her chest ornaments
the light clearly comes from the far lefthand side yet the left leg is also lit from the back
lower part of her stomach has shadows where highlights should be
shadow on the back side of the loin cloth looks like a smear , on the front side the shadow makes it look like the cloth is rounded, cylindrical it should be flatter
hair is flat, only texture, no shadows or highlights. imagine that it loosely takes the shape of the head
very little reflective light

hopefully you'll take this as constructive and not as me kicking you in the nuts
keep practicing and improving
