Broken Wing

Sorry, to my watchers, if I haven't commented/faved your deviatons yet, I have about 82 deviations to get through right now, so I WILL get around to it!

So this is a...sequel thingy to my drawing Sad Faerie, this, and the hair advice, are what pushed me to finish Sad Faerie. Because I had no story for her, i.e. no inspiration. So I sketched this down and got inspired to finish her portrait and then get started on this.

The hands are....ugly and weird and messed up. The only ref I sometimes had for shading and proportions were my own hands, and ya know how hard it is to draw with your hand WHILE copying off and keeping its pose?

The guy who's holding her is the faerie doctor, by the way, so he's not about to rip her wing off or anything. So no gory story here!

Not happy with this one really, but my dad really liked it so I guess its not far to bad. The hands are ugly and strange and I won't begin to start on the fairy...blegh, don't like her at all.
